Montipora is a genus of small-polyp stony (SPS) coral and is one of the most popular and versatile corals in reef aquariums. While not as structurally dominant as Acropora on natural reefs, Montipora species are widespread and highly valued by hobbyists for their adaptability, rapid growth, and striking colour variations.

Montipora display a wide range of growth forms, including plating (often forming whorled or tiered plates), encrusting, and branching varieties. They also possess a hard, calcareous skeleton covered in very small polyps, though these are usually less pronounced than those of Acropora, giving them a smoother appearance. Many species feature intricate surface textures, such as bumps or ridges, which add to their visual appeal. Montipora generally require moderate to high lighting and good water flow, but are typically more forgiving than Acropora, making them an excellent choice for both intermediate and experienced reef keepers.

All of our frags are healthy, fully acclimated, and ready to thrive in your aquarium! They have been fragged and healed for several weeks, ensuring a smooth transition to your tank.

Our DOA (Death On Arrival) Policy protects you in the unfortunate event that your coral does not survive the transit (which is very rare). A coral is considered DOA if it arrives visibly dead, without any signs of life, or in a state of extreme decay. In this very rare event we would require clear photographic evidence of the coral in the original unopened cup/bag within 2 hours of delivery. We will provide credit, or replacement excluding shipping (£14.75), or replacement included in next order.

Once the coral has entered your aquarium, we are unable to accept any losses. In the very rare event of a shipment being delayed by courier for any reason which leads to DOA, we cannot be held responsible.

Orders are sent on every Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, with Royal Mail Special delivery.
