Zoanthids are colonial soft corals. This means a single polyp connects to its neighbours via a mat-like tissue to form a large colony. They are beloved for their incredible variety of colours and patterns, often featuring bright, neon hues and contrasting "skirt" and "mouth" colours that look like tiny underwater flowers. They are famous for their fast growth rate, quickly spreading over rocks and plug discs to form colourful zoa gardens. They are excellent beginner corals because they are hardy, adaptable to a range of lighting and flow conditions, and don't require supplemental feeding (though they will benefit from it). All Zoanthids (and their relatives, Palythoa) can contain a potentially deadly toxin called Palytoxin. It is crucial to handle them with care—wear gloves and safety glasses when fragging or handling them, especially if they are irritated or damaged. Avoid any contact with eyes, mouth, or open wounds.
All of our frags are healthy, fully acclimated, and ready to thrive in your aquarium! They have been fragged and healed for several weeks, ensuring a smooth transition to your tank.
